| As of yesterday, I am now officially 17 years old. Now that scares me.

| Five chicks! The last one hatched less than five minutes ago.
We should all take lessons in multi-tasking from the mother hen, who managed to keep her boisterous chicks in line while hatching out several more.

| FOUR CHICKS!  We don't have names for them yet. My dad suggested "Moose and Squirrell" for the first two, but I don't think that's gonna fly.

A few hens had been brooding some eggs for three weeks, but I had kind of forgotten about them, and wasn't ready. We quickly got things ready for hatching, and by this morning we had one chick. By the time we got back from co-op there was another, and possibly more to come! 
They are so cute. One is white, probably a Polish-Silkie cross. The other is brown, a D'anver-something-or-other cross.
